The rubbish will not be collected by the holiday homes on Saturdays - the usual day of arrival. You may, therefore, find that the rubbish has not been collected when you arrive. The local Sol og Strand office will usually inform you about the day of the next rubbish collection.
Remember that only original rubbish bags will be collected. The bag must be filled to the dotted line. In case of overloading the bag will not be picked up. If you need an extra rubbish bag, please contact the local Sol og Strand office, the nearest grocer’s shop or the tourist office.
In the off-season (from September till May) the waste collectors only come once every 14 days in some areas. If this gives you a problem with your garbage, please call the local office – we are here to help you.
Please do not place open bags or boxes with garbage outside the holiday home, as this may attract cats, rats and other animals.
