The cleaning of the holiday home often takes from 2 to 4 hours - depending on the size of the house - and it is hard work.
If you wish to carry out the cleaning, remember that Sol og Strand will check the cleaning immediately after your departure. If the cleaning is insufficient, Sol og Strand will send a bill for the time, which was used for extra cleaning.
As holiday guests you are responsible for the following, which are not included in our final cleaning:
- dish washing
- general tidying-up - inside and outside
- cleaning of grill and garden furniture
- empty the refuse pail and dispose of empty bottles, etc.
- removal of hair from pets
Therefore, we recommend that you bring along dish towels, dishcloths and cleaning materials. When you rent linen packages, a dish towel is available in each package. See Linen packages.
Especially holiday homes with swimming pool and/or whirlpool require a more comprehensive cleaning, and therefore, we recommend that you leave the cleaning of these holiday homes to us against payment. A final cleaning consists of window cleaning, floor-washing, cleaning of tables, domestic appliances, toilets and bathrooms. If you choose to carry out the cleaning yourselves, please remember to bring the necessary cleaning materials. Cleaning supplies such as bucket, mop and vacuum cleaner are available in the house.
You can order a final cleaning when you book your holiday home or on your local Sol og Strand office until 4 days before your departure.
