Cleaning

Cleaning

Before your arrival the house owner or one of our local service workers checks the holiday home in order to ensure that the holiday home is properly cleaned before your stay. However, some things can neither we nor the house owner be held responsible for. It could be:

  • spider’s web, even though the holiday home has been cleaned after the previous guests. It is difficuld to avoid, as a spider’s web can appear in only one hour
  • greasy windows. This is due to sea salt, which – dependent on the weather – sticks to the windows within a few hours
  • sand or dead insects in the window ledge. This is dependant on wind and weather conditions
  • earwigs, ants, woodlouse and the like in the holiday home. This is very normal for a holiday home in a nature area. In severe cases (e.g. an anthill) you can call your local service office – we are here to help you
  • a moust and stuffy smell. This is not uncommon. Start by airing out and and then turn on the heat in order to remove the smell.

By departure you can make a thorough final cleaning, or you can order a final cleaning with us up till 4 days before your journey home. The cleaning of the holiday home often takes 2-4 hours – depending on the size of the house – and it requires hard work as well as detergents. Read more about Final cleaning.
