Relay

The relay

The indoor switchboard is generally located on the inside of the electricity-meter. Switch on the relay by pressing the button upwards or by turning it from 0 to 1. The relay can be hard to press/turn.
All groups of fuses should be at 1.

If the relay continues to blow, switch off all the groups. Reactivate the relay to be at 1. Now switch on the groups one by one to locate the group that causes the problem of blowing.

Once you have located the problematic group, leave if off. Switch on the other groups. Next, switch on the earth-leak circuit breaker and contact the office.

Fuses

Outage could be due to a blown fuse.

Ceramic fusesSwitch off the electricity and remove the fuses. Depending on the type, either unscrew the holder or open the little drawer by pressing it down and pulling it out.

The fuse is OK if there is a small, grey or red “plug” at the end part. If the “plug” is gone, you have to change the fuse. However, in some cases, it could still be there, even though the fuse has blown. If so, try with a new fuse.

Normally, there will be spare fuses in the holiday home. If not, please buy new fuses, and the local Sol og Strand office will refund the amount upon presentation of a receipt.

Remember always to replace a fuse with a new one of the same ampere as the old one.

Automatic fuses
In case of automatic fuses, never change the fuses. An automatic fuse should always be at 1 and be pushed upwards to be activated.

You may also have automatic fuses, where it says On in a red field when activated. If it is off, it will say Off in a green field.

If the fuses continue to blow, this is due to the fact that the consumption of current is too high. In such case, deactivate some electric utensils in the holiday home, e.g. an electric kettle.
