Silver Cone – Fokus on Energy

The label sets stricter requirements for the energy status of the holiday home. Holiday homes approved for Silver Cone – Fokus on Energy meet energy requirements that cover 90% of the energy consumption in the holiday home and further meet stricter requirements for improved insulation and appliances rated with a higher energy label.

The holiday home is energy-optimised within:

• Insulated exterior walls, floors and ceilings
• Window and door glass quality
• Heating source such as heat pump or district heating that can heat 100% of the holiday home
• Lighting with a minimum of 90% LED

Appliances in the holiday home have been optimised as follows:

• Energy-labelled water heater, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, washing machine and tumble dryer
• Nordic Swan Ecolabelled or A-labelled wood-burning stoves and pellet stoves

*Certain elements are optional for Silver Cone – Fokus on Energy.

Other measures:

• Water-saving shower
• Fixed washing line or drying rack that can hold an entire wash

For swimming pool, jacuzzi and/or hot tub, the following have been optimised:

• Heating method
• Insulation and windows
• Cover

Note on energy consumption

The energy consumption of a holiday home with a pool, jacuzzi or hot tub is significantly higher and cannot be compared to the energy consumption of a standard holiday home.
