Gold Cone – Fokus on Energy

The label sets the highest standards for the energy status of holiday homes. Holiday homes approved for Gold Cone – Fokus on Energy meet the highest standards for insulation, energy-efficient household appliances and also cover at least four options relating to insulation, windows, solar power, EV charging options and biodiversity support.

The holiday home is energy-optimised within:

• Insulated exterior walls, floors and ceilings
• Window and door glass quality
• Heating source such as heat pump or district heating that can heat 100% of the holiday home
• Lighting with a minimum of 90% LED

Appliances in the holiday home have been optimised as follows:

• Energy-labelled water heater, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, washing machine and tumble dryer
• Nordic Swan Ecolabelled or A-labelled wood-burning stoves and pellet stoves

Other measures:

• Water-saving shower
• Fixed washing line or drying rack that can hold an entire wash

The holiday home also fulfils a minimum of four additional measures, including:

• Floor insulation of 150 mm
• Energy class B windows
• Solar power for reduced electricity consumption
• Solar ventilation
• EV charging station – either fast charging within 5 km of the holiday home or a charging station for Type 2 connectors within 500 m
• Biodiversity support on the plot

For swimming pool, jacuzzi and/or hot tub, the following have been optimised:

• Heating method
• Insulation and windows
• Cover

Note on energy consumption

The energy consumption of a holiday home with a pool, jacuzzi or hot tub is significantly higher and cannot be compared to the energy consumption of a standard holiday home.
