Leider waren wir nicht die einzigen Gäste. Als wir kamen, hatten bereits zahlreiche Spinnen die Wohnung besetzt und unbehelligt von einer Reinigungskraft (gab es eine ?) ihre Netze gesponnen. Geschirr und Besteck waren recht lieblos zusammengestellt und wirkten teilweise zusammengesucht. Die Küche könnte sehr gut eine Generalreinigung gebrauchen. Es wäre schön, wenn in den Lampen hellere Leuchtmittel wären, dann wären die ohnehin dunklen Räume besser ausgeleuchtet. Wir werden wieder auf die Insel kommen, uns dann aber sicher ein anderes Quartier suchen.

Es ist bereits unser 2. Urlaub in diesem schönen kleinen Häuschen. Auch wenn es als "L-Gebäude" noch einen direkten Nachbarn gibt, haben wir von unseren Nachbarn rein garnichts gehört oder mitbekommen. Die Kritik, die wir im letzten Jahr geäußert haben ist angenommen worden. Es gab mehr Geschirr in diesem Jahr und die Umrandung der Terrasse wurde komplett erneuert. Es ist wirklich schön zu sehen, dass Sonne und Strand mit dem Eigentümer zusammen alles für die Gäste tun und Kritik ernst nehmen und umsetzen. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank!

Wir haben in diesem Haus sehr schöne Weihnachten verbracht. Es ist wirklich schön. Verbesserungswünsche wären nur etwas mehr Geschirr und die Verkleidung der Terrasse könnte mal erneuert werden. Sonst passt wirklich alles. Vielen Dank!

Vesterhede - holiday homes with thatched roofs on Rømø

Vesterhede is a small holiday house area, situated by the plantation 'Vråby Plantage' on the southern part of Rømø, about 1 km behind the shore. Forest, dunes and moor areas surround the holiday area Vesterhede. Solely gravel roads lead through the cosy and scenic area and almost all of the houses have thatched roofs.
The area has a rich animal life and invites stays in the nature. You will also find many leisure activities, more restaurants and good shopping possibilities nearby.
3 km from here, Havneby offers a cosy harbour area and a quite unique and peaceful island harbour atmosphere.
Rømø is connected with the mainland through a 10 km long dam. The lovely nature, the long wide and sandy beach, the Jutland Wadden Sea, the North Sea, the fresh sea breeze, the rich wildlife, the many birds, the well-preserved Rømø-farms and the cosy atmosphere makes Rømø an interesting holiday destination.

Western Jutland - the Danish esplanade

 

The west coast is rough, fresh, roaring and delightfully exhilarating. You will find long, wide and sandy beaches with high dunes as far as the eye can see. You can experience some of Denmark's most scenic sunsets over the North See from the beaches in western Jutland.
If you prefer calmer water and characteristic natural experiences, you ought to visit the preserved peninsula Skallingen, where the seals are gambolling, or the bird sanctuary Tipperne at Ringkobing Fjord. These places offer impressive sights, as millions of migratory birds gather here every spring and autumn on their way towards north or south.
By the lighthouse 'Blaavandshuk Fyr' you will find Denmark's most western point. Surrounding the lighthouse the many concrete bunkers still bear widness of World War II.
