The Holiday home was unusual and very pleasant with a good variety of equipment provide. Not fully convinced the property is geared for 6 persons as advertised with the available bed mattresses provided. Main bedroom, the double, consistent end of two twin beds with topper. The mattresses seemed to be moved to the upper mezzanine to facilitate two additional sleeping areas. The children’s room was as advertised with a bunk bed and with a few games also available.
All beds seem to have dust across the beds. Sheets on bunk beds were in need of a wash.
The kitchen was practical with most daily items required available, with plenty of plates, bowls and cutlery including a variety of knives for food prep. No real pots, but frying pan and several saucepans available. There were also several serving /salad bowls available.
On the outside the decking was in places rotten and required careful footing to avoid tripping /loosing footing below the deck. A little maintenance would improve this. There is a Charcoal required BBQ available for use, which is not mentioned within the facilities listing
Our only real criticism especially with current COVID concerns was the overall cleanliness. Considering the cost and tie suggest for cleaning when booking, the Oven and Microwave had clearly not been cleaned for some time. Oven trays were greasy with burnt food debris within the oven and on trays.
The two Table tops and the kitchen work surfaces were sticky and seemed unclean.
Floors both tiled in the kitchen and bathroom, and living areas including bedrooms in timber had not been vacuumed before our arrival. Not expecting a hotel quality clean, but would expect the facility being ready for new guests arrival. We spent 2 hours cleaning /wiping upon our arrival.
Due to the above I am not listing the property as 4 stars.
