Das Ferienhaus liegt auf einem schönen Naturgrundstück und es ist nahe zum Strand. Man kann in Badekleidung vom Haus zum Strand gehen. Das haben wir als sehr vorteilhaft empfunden.

Thorup Strand is a small and pleasant fishing hamlet by the North Sea, surrounded by beautiful and unspoiled nature.
The fishing hamlet Thorup Strand is located in the southern part of the bay Jammerbugten. There is no fishing harbour here, so instead the fishing vessels are pulled up on the beach after each fishing trip. Therefore, Thorup Strand is Denmark's largest landing place with just below 20 vessels. You can follow the activities on the beach and perhaps buy fresh fish for your dinner.
Thorup Strand is surrounded by a scenic plantation area, and in close vicinity to the holiday destination, you will find the inlet Lund Fjord - a part of the bird sanctuary Vejlerne, as well as Bulbjerg - Denmark's only bird cliff.
It is possible to buy groceries in the area, and in Fjerritslev (12 km) you will find good shopping opportunities, restaurants and more sights.
Thorup Strand is a quiet and cosy holiday area for those, who wish to spend their vacation in relaxing and very scenic surroundings.
