Jacobsen-Clareboudt

In a former gravel pit in Tørskind near Egtved you will find ond of Denmark’s few landscape sculptures.
The landscape sculpture was created in the late part of the 1980’ies by Denmark’s great Robert, the visual artist Robert Jacobsen, who lived in Tågelund, near Tørskind, and his French colleague Jean Clareboudt. Clareboudt had the overall responsibility for the planning of the gravel pit area and organized the nature in such a way that you can walk around in the area and follow the course of the sun from the sunrise in east to the sunset in west.

All sculptures are made from materials from nature:  Concrete (sand and stone), iron, granite and wood. The gravel pit as well as the view of the nearby river valley Vejle Ådal provide you with new experiences every time you visit – depending on the time of day and year.

Open 24 hours a day, year round. Free access.
Not suitable for wheelchair users.
