Be close to the wonderful animal and plant life and lots of outdoor leisure activities. Enjoy the peace and the fresh air when you are on holiday in a Danish Nature House.
Criteria for Nature Houses
- The holiday home must be located in or in the immediate vicinity (max 1000 metres) of a natural area of particular importance..
- The holiday home must have an attractive location, and the access to fine nature experiences must not be disfigured by a location at for example a noisy road, a built-up area or industries.
Criteria for natural resorts
- The natural resort must be designated as an area of particular importance by the Danish Natural Forest and Nature Agency.
- The resort must be open to the public with a wide range of activity possibilities, including hiking, biking, bird watching, angling, etc.
- Information (nature guide and hiking folders) must be available to the public in minimum Danish and German.
The Association of Danish Holiday House Letters has defined the above criteria.
