The bison returns

A herd of the European bison from Poland is released in nature on Bornholm.
In order to save Europe's largest wild mammal, the European bison, from extinction, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency has arranged for a herd of bison to be moved from Poland to Bornholm. The first couple of years the herd is going to live in a fenced forest, to which the public has access. The European bison is rather shy and not at all dangerous for human beings. With this interesting animal on Bornholm, there is yet another good reason to visit Bornholm.
