The museum KUNSTEN shows an interesting exhibition about ugly (or beautiful) art.
Why do many contemporary artists create primitive, absurd, sloppy or ugly works of art? With the exhibition ?Grimt (eller smukt)? (Ugly (or beautiful)) KUNSTEN will try to answer this question. Here you can experience the ugly together with the beautiful and ask yourselves, what the contemporary artists are trying to tell us with their ugly art. The exhibition consists of borrowed works, works from KUNSTEN?s collection as well as a number of works by the pictorial artist Michael Kvium, which the museum has just got possession of. You can see the exhibition from 14 May until 18 September 2011.
