Skagens Museum shows a special exhibition with Skagen paintings from private collections.
With the big special exhibition of the summer 'Skagen GOLD' at Skagens Museum you will have a rare opportunity of experiencing a number of interesting and important Skagen paintings, which belong to private collectors. And some of these hidden treasures have never been exhibited before. All paintings are created by Skagen painters during the years from 1875 to 1930, but not all subjects are from Skagen. You can see about 250 oil paints by among others Krøyer, Michael Ancher, Anna Ancher, Carl Locher, Viggo Johansen and Laurits Tuxen. The exhibition is available from 20 May to 30 October 2011.
