The museum Den Hirschsprungske Samling presents a special exhibition about Krøyer.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Den Hirschsprungske Samling, the museum shows the biggest exhibition ever about the Danish painter P.S. Krøyer (1851-1909). Because of the friendship between Krøyer and the family Hirschsprung it was ideal to show the exhibition at exactly this museum. The exhibition contains about 160 works, including sketches and preliminary studies, and you can experience the very best Krøyer paintings here. Some of these are owned by the museum and others are borrowed from museums around the world. You can visit the exhibition 'Krøyer - in international light' from 20th November 2011 until 10th April 2012.
