The art museum ?Kunstmuseet i Tønder? shows an exhibition with paintings of Ian McKeever.
From 29 January 2011 you can see the exhibition ?Black Paintings? with paintings, watercolour paintings and drawings by the British artist Ian McKeever from Dorset. Ian McKeever is famous for creating paintings with many transparent layers, where he plays with light and darkness, surface and depth as well as opening and veiling. Often the body and its sense perception of the world are imaged on the paintings. According to the artist himself, you have to feel and sense his paintings and not just observe them. The exhibition is open until 25 April 2011.
