Experience tilts, cavalcades, festivity and atmosphere in Sønderborg.
In the weekend from 8th to 11th July 2011 Sønderborg arranges its traditional town fair with tilting contests. The evocative town fair, the highlight of the summer in Sønderborg, is a rider and folk festival, where around 500 riders take part in the entertainment. You can follow a colourful cavalcade through the town, experience when the riders tilt in the gallows, see a large tattoo and listen to music. The children can gambol in the funfair or in their own children?s world with amusing activities. The town fair ends with a giant fireworks in the summer night on Monday night.
