Attend Denmark?s largest angling competition in Hvide Sande and win great prizes.
The traditional herring festival in Hvide Sande takes place in days 29 April to 1 May 2011. At that time the herring seeks into the inlet Ringkøbing Fjord - right pass the lock of Hvide Sande, where the fishing competition will take place. Everyone can participate - adults as well as juniors and children - and you have to catch most possible herring within a certain span. The present record holder was lucky enough to catch 313 herring (29.8 kg) within one hour! Come to Hvide Sande, enjoy the activities and the cosy atmosphere or try your luck with the fishing rod. Great prizes are at stake!
