Sol og Strand evaluates the holiday home on 10 points. Every point is granted a mark from a scale, which goes from 1 to 5 (5 is exclusive). The average of the 10 marks decides the category.

Bedrooms

Eco-friendly homes are fitted with solar heating system, ground heating system or energy-conserving heat pump. This equipment helps you reduce your energy consumption.
Wheelchair users
Under house description (For wheelchairs) you can see the specifications for access and lay-out.
Business Class
In a Business Class holiday home you will find office facilities, such as internet access, combined printer/scanner and copier, router and HUB, cables and point for the above equipment as well as various office supplies.
Houses for anglers
In our angling houses you will find fish cleaning facilities, a freezer of minimum 100 litres, drying facilities for clothes and a bucket with a lid for fish waste.
Free aquapark
Under house details (See the menu option - free aquapark) you can see which aquapark/swimmingbaths it concerns.
Free activity centre
More free indoor and outdoor activities for children. All activities are located within walking distance from the holiday home. The many activities of the centre appear from the presentation of the holiday home (See the menu option "Activity centre").
Marina houses
Holiday homes in evocative and maritime surroundings with view of the marina.
Bonus-Holiday
You will obtain a substantial discount when you book a Bonus Holiday. A Bonus Holiday lasts from 14 to 28 days. Usually, a final cleaning is mandatory and added in the rent price. Bonus Holiday cannot be combined with other discounts.

Evaluations
Our holiday guests have marked the house, the area, the price and the service with a number between 0 and 5 (0 is the poorest and 5 is the best). The mark has been calculated as an average mark, based on the evaluations of our guests.

Cleaning
Enjoy your holiday right up to the very last moment - and let us take care of the cleaning
When the holiday is over, the holiday home must be cleaned. You may decide to do it yourselves or choose to leave it to us.
The final cleaning consists of the following:
cleaning of windows
floor-washing
cleaning of tables, kitchen equipment/ appliances, toilets and bathrooms
If you do leave the final cleaning to us, remember that it is still your responsibility to tidy up both inside and outside. Dishwashing of cutlery, cooking utensils, etc. and cleaning of garden furniture and the grill are part of the cleaning up duties and, therefore, are not included in the final cleaning. This also applies to removing hair shedded from pets.
Deposit
When you rent a holiday home, you have to pay a deposit. This is a payment on account, which covers the consumption, fx electricity and heat, as well as any damages on the house and inventory.
The amount must be paid together with the 2nd instalment. No later than 3 weeks after your departure from the holiday home, you will receive a statement of the electricity, telephone and oil consumption, and in case of a balance, an amount will be transferred to your account/creditcard or you will receive a specified bill.
In that way the refundment takes place automatically and you don?t have to think about the settling at your departure.
Electricity consumption
Usually, Danish holiday homes are heated with electricity. The average electricity consumption is based on houses with electricity as their primary heat source. In houses with other heat sources, like oil-fired boiler or district heating, the electricity consumption will be lower. In return you will have expenses for oil or district heating. The use of a wood-burning stove has not been considered in the average consumption.
Holiday homes without swimming pool and whirlpool Dependent on the season, our holiday guests use 6.6 kWh per person per day on average.
During the hottest summer month the average consumption is 2.5 kWh, and during the coldest winter month it is 13 kWh per person per day.
Reservations The electricity consumption in an energy-friendly holiday home is 15 % lower on average.
The electricity for heating of the sauna is not included in the average consumption.
The estimates are based on the average number of persons per square metre. If you stay just a few persons in a large house, you have to take a higher consumption than the average into account.

Cot
More space in the boot of your car - ask us to supply cots
Many of our holiday homes have one or more cots that you may use without charge.
If you require extra cots than those provided in the holiday home, you may rent them from us. Our cots are often so-called weekend beds that measure approx. 60 x110 cm and are suitable for children under the age of 4 years.
The cots come with a mattress but without duvet, pillow and bedlinen. Please note that there may not be adequate space for a cot in the bedrooms of every holiday home.
Normally, rented cots must be collected upon arrival. We will provide full details when you pick up the key to your holiday home.
High chair
Save space in the car - Let us deliver high chairs
Many of our holiday homes contain one or more high chairs. You can see how many high chairs are at your disposal free of charge in your selected holiday home ? next to the text that you have just clicked on.
If you require more high chairs than those provided in your holiday home, they are available for rental from us.Extra high chairs may be ordered when you book your holiday home. They can be delivered in advance or collected with the key upon arrival.
Normally, rented high chair(s) must be collected, but full details will be provided when you collect the key.
Linen package
Save on luggage during your trip - and order your bed and kitchen linen from us
A linen package is intended for one person and contains a sheet, a duvet cover, a pillow cover, two towels and a dish towel. The price varies according to length of stay and does not include a weekly change.
Usually, you are requested to collect the the linen package ordered yourselves upon arrival. Further details will be provided when you pick up the key for your holiday home.
Pets allowed

It can be difficult to do without your pets during a holiday period. Pets are, therefore, welcome in most of our holiday homes.

Smoking
In some of our holiday homes, smoking is prohibited - see the individual house presentation. Please respect this request. We cannot guarantee, however, that no one has ever smoked in these houses.

By 2 to 5 nights you must order linen packages for everyone over the age of 3.
