The lovely holiday house area of Nr. Lyngvig is a large preserved nature area, surrounded by sea and inlet.
Nr. Lyngvig is situated on the bar Holmsland Klit, between Hvide Sande and Søndervig. The dunes and the North Sea can be found towards the west and towards the east, the inlet Ringkøbing Fjord is situated. The nature around Nr. Lyngvig is very scenic. A 282 hectares preserved area with high dunes, interesting vegetation and a rich animal life can be experienced here. A nature path leads right through this area, which also contains the lighthouse Nr. Lyngvig Fyr. From the 38 metres high lighthouse, which is Denmark's most highly situated lighthouse, you can enjoy the fantastic view over the water and the landscape.By the lighthouse you will find the oldest built-up area of Nr. Lyngvigs. A collection of large beautiful dune farms from the 19th century are build out of red stones and have thatched roofs.
Nr. Lyngvig has a restaurant, a large indoor play land and a small cosy harbour with leisure boats.

Western Jutland - the Danish esplanade

By the lighthouse 'Blåvandshuk Fyr' you will find Denmark's most western point. Surrounding the lighthouse the many concrete bunkers still bear widness of World War II.
