This sumptuous oasis is an ideal holiday destination for the pretentious guest. The beautiful white castle Sophienlyst Slot has an ornamented front, framed with gold foil, and is located by the inlet Gamborg Fjord, just a 10-min. drive from the Little Belt Bridge, and nevertheless far from everyday life! This exceptional two-story holiday paradise was erected in 2001 on a 7,000 m2 parklike site in a conservation area. The site stretches all the way down to the inlet and is surrounded by a fertile landscape with forests, small lakes and green meadows. Sophienlyst Slot offers 1,000 m2 of faultless luxury. The two-story hall with crystal chandelier is connected to the 120 m2 baronial hall with detached ceiling joists and large windows on 3 sides. In direct attachment to the hall you will find the spacious and well equipped kitchen with 3 refrigerators, ceramic hob with 8 cooking zones, 2 hot air ovens, separate scullery with dishwasher, microwave oven and freezer (700 l). In the activity department you can amuse yourselves with a game of billiards. On the first floor you can enjoy the great view of the inlet from the elegant living room, which contains TV with satellite (digital), stereo with CD player, DVD player and video as well as telephone with counter and fax. The 11 bedrooms of the castle have been furnished with double bed and have direct access to a private luxury bathroom with shower and floor heating. A glass atelier combines the ground floor living room with a 225 m2 tropical oasis with palms, Byzantine columns and an imposing swimming pool of no less than 124 m2 (1.4 m deep). The bathing department also contains a beautiful whirlpool for 5 persons, a solarium room and a relax section. You will find grottos under an island in the pool, which is connected to the edge through a bridge. Furthermore, washing machine, tumbler, cot and high chair are at your disposal at the castle. In the angle between the living room and the pool section you can make use of a sheltered atrium. Sophienlyst Slot is situated by the house Kavalerhuset, but still in entirely secluded settings with private access roads and separate free spaces. The castle is ideal for small conferences, representative arrangements, family reunions etc. Parties with up to 45 participants can be arranged on the spot. However, no more than 22 persons can occupy the castle. Sophienlyst Slot is not suitable for schools and youth groups. On account of the size of castle and its swimming pool, you have to expect substantially higher energy costs here than in a traditional holiday home with swimming pool.
