Sødring is situated on the northern coast of the inlet 'Randers Fjord', right where the inlet mouths into the Kattegat.
The small village lies on a hill and is surrounded by a scenic tidal area with a rich bird life. In town you will also find 2 galleries, a church and a manor house.The holiday house area of Sødring is called 'Skallehusene' and situated right by the mouth of the inlet.
You will find bathing beach, restaurants and shops with groceries only a few km from Sødring.
Just south of the town, one of Denmark's smallest car ferries takes you over the inlet to the cosy fishing hamlet Udbyhøj.
Around Randers an on Djursland you will find leisure activities and good excursion spots for the whole family.

Djursland and Mols - unique nature and the 'capital' of Jutland
Djursland and Mols are surrounded by sea on 3 sides. The varying stretches of coast and the hilly landscapes were created during the latest Ice Age. Here you will find child-friendly, white beaches on all sides of the peninsula. Further inland the peninsula is characterized by vigorous nature, exceptional views, moor areas, woods, meadows, lakes and streams.Northern Djursland is known for its towering limestone cliffs that are several million years old. Mols Bjerge in the southern part of the area is a magnificent landscape with a varying nature, a number of walking tracks and a rich animal life. It is ideal to visit the area on food, on bicycle or on horseback.
Furthermore, Djursland is characterized by its many well-preserved castles, manor houses and estates, decorating the landscape.
