Nordsjællands Tropefuglepark & Zoo
|
Often birds are being called the dinosaurs of modern times - visit the tropical park with about 12 different species of birds and try to learn more about similarities and differences compared with real dinosaurs. In order to make life as natural as possible for the birds, approx. 900 richly coloured birds live in this zoo, mainly with several other species in magnificent aviaries. As a matter of curiosity, the rare Yellow-rumped Tinkerbird (Pogoniulus bilineatus) bred for the first time in captivity in the 6000 square metre big indoor tropical house. If you are interested in later evolution species, you can say hello to the marmoset and other mammals. Visitors coming to Nordsjællands Tropefuglepark & Zoo ( North Zealand’s Tropical Bird Park & Zoo) will have an exciting experience. At the entrance of the tropical park you can eat your packed lunches or sandwiches, and here you will find a shop with information, refreshments and fine and funny souvenirs.
