Meet with mammals, insects, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles. In Odense Zoo you can travel through the whole world in just one day. Come close to the chimpanzees in Africa, the sea cows of South America and the Siberian tiger. A giant turtle weighs up to 300 kilos and can become up to 150 years old! Tropical drought, barren rocks, shady waterholes and lots of grass are a turtle's recipe for a long life. In the tropical facilities of the zoo you can get close to the ideal world - seen with a turtle's eyes. See the world from under the shield of the giant turtles.
Asian lanterns, glowing coals, lots of torches, cosiness in the WinterForest, a cold, clear and frosty sky - the intimate atmosphere is spreading in the WinterZOO from December 1 to February 29.
Around the park you will find tables and benches with room for a cosy lunch. Dig into the content of your own lunch basket or have it all served.
