The center is housed in the impressive sanatorium 'Vejlsøhus' from 1903. The whole lot is surrounded by the river Gudenåen, the lakes Silkeborgsøerne and a large forest conservation area. AQUA invites the visitor on a fascinating journey to the Danish lakes and streams. Through great panorama windows you can observe the different life forms in outdoor lakes, above and under the sea level, all the year round and in all kinds of weather. The otters are also very entertaining - especially when the food is being served.
