Vedersø Klit is regarded as one of the most beautiful holiday destinations on the west coast.
 Vedersø Klit is situated between the inlets Nissum Fjord and Ringkøbing Fjord. In this cosy and scenic holiday area you will find beautiful nature, lovely bathing beaches, cultural sights as well as good shopping possibilities and leisure activities. The area has been used as a holiday house area since the 30'ies, and it was decided already then that only brick-built houses with thatched roofs could be erected in the area. The area is very characteristic because of the style of the houses.
Beach
The beach at Vedersø Klit is a 5 km long, white sandy beach with high dunes and Blue Flag. The bottom is also sandy and the bathing water is clean and deep. The beach is traffic-free.
Nature
 No matter the weather the beautiful sandy beaches along the west coast invites long walks.
A few kilometres north of Vedersø Klit the plantation Husby Klitplantage is situated behind the high beach dunes. Here you can see a very varying nature with oaks, beech, pines and firs. Unique natural experiences await you along the marked walking paths. Furthermore, you will find a very popular bathing lake in Husby Plantage.
The only fresh water lakes of the area, Husby Sø and Nørre Sø, lie close to the plantation, and around the lakes you will find a rich wildlife.
The shallow inlet Nissum Fjord is an important breeding place for wading birds and more places along the inlet you will find conservation areas with an amazingly rich vegetation and bird life.
Activities
Vedersø Klit has tennis courts, a minigolf course and an outdoor water world.
The riding centre Vedersø Ridecenter offers rides on the beach or inland.
The surf possibilities are good on the North Sea, but if you wish to surf on calmer water, you can try out the inlet Nissum Fjord.
Anglers can throw in the line from the coast, in the inlet as well as in the Put & Take fishponds of the area.
One of Denmark's best golf courses is situated close to Holstebro, about 30 km from Vedersø Klit. The beautiful seaside course at Holmsland Klit Golfklub, close to Søndervig, is also worth testing.
Worth a visit
 The church of Vedersø is famous for it's former incumbent Kaj Munk. The story of Kaj Munk is told at the regional museum, and his burial place can still be seen at the church.
On the bar between the North Sea and the inlet Nissum Fjord lays Torsminde - an old fishing village with f.x. Denmark's first wreckage museum 'St. George'. Here you can get a glimpse of daily life onboard the English warships 'St. George' and 'Defence'.
Excursion spots
The red tiled roofs and old cobbled streets characterize the old, pretty provincial town, Ringkøbing. The town is situated about 25 km from Vedersø Klit and is definitely worth a visit.
The commercial town Holstebro has a number of interesting specialist shops and good shopping possibilities in the traffic-free town centre. Furthermore, the town offers plenty of art and culture, cosy cafes and a beautiful environment around the stream (35 km).
The open-air museum 'Hjerl Hede Frilandsmuseum' near Vinderup is an interesting and lifelike museum for the whole family. See among other things how the daily life in the country 150 years ago is vitalized (53 km).
