Loddenhøj is situated in the quiet South Jutland nature, surrounded by forests, fields and beach.
 On the northern part of the peninsular Løjt Land, 10 km north of Aabenraa, the holiday house area Loddenhøj is situated. The area is very scenic and surrounded by forest, coast, idyllic sunken roads and beautiful old houses with thatched roofs.
In the Little Belt, right opposite Loddenhøj, the island Barsø is situated. Hilly landscapes and beautiful old ancestral farms characterize the cosy island.
It is possible to buy groceries in Løjt Kirkeby, 4 km from Loddenhøj, as well as in Aabenraa.
By Loddenhøj you have the good beach, the lovely nature, rich leisure activities and sights for the whole family within reach.
Beach
The good bathing beach by Loddenhøj has the Blue Flag. The beach is very suitable for children as the water is shallow by the edge. Here you can swim, sunbathe, surf and fish among other things.
Nature
 The area, surrounding Loddenhøj is characterized by a lush and undulation nature with many forests, fields and lakes.
The forest, which is located right by the holiday house area, invites walks along the marked paths.
Just north of Loddenhøj the bay 'Genner Bugt' is situated. Thick forests of reeds grow along the shores and create attractive living conditions for many wading birds and ducks.
Innermost in the bay 'Genner Bugt' the small island Kalvø is situated. The island is characterized by a lovely and untouched nature. Both Kalvø and the innermost of the bay are laid out as nature reserves, and both places have a rich animal life.
Activities
Anglers will find good fishing opportunities along the shores, in the Put & Take fishponds of the area as well as on the sea. Deep-sea fishing trips are arranged with a fishing vessel from both Haderslev and Aabenraa.
Windsurfers will find good conditions by Loddenhøj Strand.
Golf players can try out some of the 9 golf courses of South Jutland.
It is possible to rent bicycles in Løjt Kirkeby.
Lovely nature experiences await you along the marked walking and bicycle paths of the area.
Worth a visit
Løjtland is characterized by a number of beautiful, restored houses with thatched roofs, and is definitely worth a visit.
The animal park 'Haderslev Dyrehave' is a 100 hectares large scenic and undulating area with forest, open grass areas and meadows. About 100 fallow deer live in this park, which is situated close to Haderslev.
You will find a number of interesting castles in the area, like f.x. 'Aabenraa Slot', 'Gram Slot' and 'Gottorp Slot' (the latter in Germany).
Excursion spots
The old market town Aabenraa you can enjoy the harbour, the beach, the lovely pedestrian street with squares, the old part of town as well as the castle 'Aabenraa Slot', which is surrounded by water and trees (10 km).
Haderslev has a cosy pedestrian street, many green recreational areas, like i.a. 'Damparken', an old part of town with gently restored houses as well as the scenic cathedral (25 km).
'Sommerland Syd' in Tinglev is the largest amusement park in South Jutland. Here you will find action, speed and excitement for both children and adults (31 km).
Go on a daytrip to the German border, which is situated no more than 45 km from Loddenhøj.
