Brunsnæs is an old and cosy ferry berth in a historic and scenic area.
 The holiday area Brunsnæs is quietly situated on the south-western coast of the area Broagerland by the inlet 'Flensborg Fjord'. By the small village you will find a good bathing beach, a cosy old inn and lovely nature. From most of the holiday houses in this area you can enjoy the view of the inlet 'Flensborg Fjord' and the German coastline.
It is possible to buy groceries in the area. The nearest towns are Broager (5 km), Gråsten (11 km) and Sønderborg (14 km).
Beach
A good bathing beach with clear water is available by Brunsnæs.
Windsurfers and other water sport enthusiasts will find good conditions here.
Nature
 From the sand hills 'Nejsbjerg' and 'Brombjerg' along the path 'Gendarmstien', which leads from Brunsnæs to the beach of Rendbjerg, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the cove 'Broager Vig'.
'Kobbelskoven' is a state forest with high beech trees, which grow all the way out to the steep coastline. The forest is situated in the bottom of Broagerland, about 7 km from Brunsnæs. From the outskirts of the forest you can enjoy the magnificent views of the bay 'Sønderborg Bugt', the town Sønderborg, the peninsular Kegnæs as well as the historic mill 'Dybbøl Mølle'.
Activities
By following the path 'Gendarmstien' from Brunsnæs you are led by more varying, scenic and lush landscapes. The path ends by the charming holiday area Rendbjerg Strand.
Golf players can try out more courses in the area, and the nearest ones are situated by Gråsten and Augustenborg.
Anglers will find good fishing opportunities all along the shores of Broagerland.
Lovely nature experiences await you along the many small walking and bicycle paths of the area.
Worth a visit
 'Cathrinesminde Teglværksmuseum' by Broager is a well-preserved industrial plant from the end of the 19th century. Today, the former brickfield function as a museum (5 km).
In the southern part of the forest 'Kobbelskoven' you will find a number of interesting relics; 2 long barrows, 2 round barrows and 7 mounds from the bronze age (7 km).
Gråsten is a small and cosy town, which is situated by the water. The town offers i.a. a cosy town environment as well as the castle 'Gråsten Slot' and its palace garden, which is surrounded by scenic nature with forest and lakes. The profusely decorated castle church and the palace garden, which is full of flowers, are both open to the public (11 km).
Excursion spots
Broagerland is rich in historic relics in the shape of mills, castles a.s.o.
Visit f.x. the town Sønderborg with the beautiful waterfront, the historic buildings, the castle, the good shopping possibilities, the cosy restaurants and the vivid nightlife (14 km).
The castle 'Sønderborg Slot' has been restored according to the Baroque and contains i.a. a museum, which informs of the South Jutland history.
The mill 'Dybbøl Mølle' (originally from the year 1744) by Sønderborg was formerly situated in the middle of a military area and today it function as a small museum with pictures and memorials from the battlefield.
Sommerland Syd in Tinglev is the largest amusement park in South Jutland. Here you will find amusements, action land, water world, speed and excitement (40 km).
