Holiday Saltbæk, Sealand, DenmarkThe holiday house area is situated by the small village Saltbæk, only a few hundred metres from the water and very close to the bird sanctuary 'Saltbæk Vig'.
Saltbæk belongs to the district Odsherred, which is a 'typically Danish' holiday area, as only a few of the houses here are rented out to tourists, but inhabited by the owners. Nature and bathing experiences as well as culture and sights await you here. It is possible to buy groceries in the area. The nearest larger town is Kalundborg (8 km), which offers an interesting harbour environment, a quite unique quarter from the Middle Ages, many exhibitions and a cosy town centre with restaurants and shops.

Beach
The beach of Saltbæk is one of the 3 beaches in the district of Kalundborg, which has been awarded with the Blue Flag. The beach is a mixture of sand and stones, and a bathing jetty is available here. The bottom is fine and sandy and the bathing water is clean.

If you wish to play golf, the 18-hole course of 'Kalundborg Golf Klub' is recommendable, and if you wish to go riding, you are able to rent riding horses more places in the area (9 km).
At the isthmus 'Ordrup Næs' you can follow a path all around the scenic area. Because of the good wind conditions of the headland, it is very popular to fly with kite here.
