Greve Strand is situated in the inviting bay 'Køge Bugt', only 30 km from Copenhagen.
 The holiday house area Greve Strand is situated in the bay 'Køge Bugt', surrounded by forest, beach, many lakes and small towns, like f.x. Greve (2 km) and Ishøj (7 km), which both offer interesting cultural treasures. It is possible to buy groceries within a radius of 1 km from the holiday area.

Beach
The holiday house area is situated only a few hundred metres from the beach 'Greve Strand', and if you wish to swim from a beach with the Blue Flag, you can try out the beach 'Strandpark København', which is situated 5 km from Greve Strand and stretches over 7 km between the beach of Hundige and the beach of Brøndby.
Here you can swim, fish and surf, and throughout the summer you can participate in the numerous arrangements, like f.x. music, dance, harbour festivals, markets and sailing races.
Nature
By Karlslunde (4 km) you will find the limestone quarry 'Karlstrup Kalkgrav' - a huge hole of 500 x 400 metres, which bears witness of an agelong search for limestone and gives you an interesting insight into the geological past in Denmark. Go on a treasure hunt here, and if you are in luck, you are still able to find well-preserved fossils. Hedeland (11 km) is a 15 square kilometres large, artificially laid-out nature and recreational area. Here you will find wide expanses, lakes, forest and hills with a rich vegetation and animal life. Choose between the numerous leisure activities of the area, and in the wintertime you can ski here.
About 50 km towards south the 15 km long cliff 'Stevns Klint' is situated. The white chalk cliffs raise more than 40 metres from the coast. Experience the remarkable cliff from the viewpoints, from which 'Flagbanken' provides you with the most spectacular sights.
Activities
The lovely, wide beach, the beautiful forests and the surrounding nature in general invites excursions in nature. You can rent bicycles in Ishøj (7 km) and go on a bicycle trip along the network of bicycle paths, surrounding Ishøj. You can receive suggestions for the trip on the tourist office of Ishøj.
The holiday area is rich in golf courses, and you can try out the ones of 'Hedeland Golfklub' (11 km), 'Køge Golf Klub' (23 km) and 'Skovbo Golfklub' by Borup (28 km).
Anglers will find good opportunities in the harbour of Ishøj, along the shores of the beach 'København Strandpark' as well as in the lakes of the area.
Should the weather let you down, you can visit Denmark's largest swimming baths in Greve (4 km), where solariums and a fitness centre are also available.
Worth a visit
'Greve Museum' is an interesting and untraditional museum of local history with many activities and exhibitions (6 km).
In Ishøj you can take a survey of the church of Ishøj, which originates from the year 1150 (7 km).
By the village Tranegilde you will find the farm 'Bredekærgård', and here the fields are still ploughed by means of horses, just like in former times (10 km).
Visit Køge with the cosy old quarter, an evocative marina, the museums 'Køge Skitsesamling', 'Køge Museum' and 'Køge Legetøjsmuseum', a spellbinding church, the pedestrian street, the marked days and the good restaurants (22 km).
Visit the capital Copenhagen with the vivid culture life, museums, music, theatres, galleries, the pedestrian street 'Strøget' and sights like the Tivoli, a planetarium, the adventure centre 'Eksperimentarium', the art museum 'Carlsberg Glyptotek', the castle 'Rosenborg Slot' with the crown jewels, København Zoo and much more (30 km).
Excursion spots
The castle 'Gjorslev Slot' is build out of limestone from the cliff 'Stevns Klint'. A moat and a lovely park in English style surround the castle. You can take part in a guided tour on the castle (32 km).
During the summer you can experience plays with Vikings in Frederikssund. Frederikssund also offers 'J.F. Willumsens Museum', which exhibits works of the artist J.F. Willumsen. The collection contains paintings, drawings, graphics, pottery, sculptures and photos (48 km).
The viking village 'Vikingelandsbyen' by Frederikssund is a lovely situated and well-preserved village with houses and ships.
Bonbonland in Holme-Olstrup offers more than 70 activities for the whole family, i.a. 'Vildsvinet' - Denmark's largest roller coaster, a rafting course, carousels, circus, children's theatre, a pirate lake and much more (56 km).
Louisiana in Humlebæk is a museum for modern art. The unique museum buildings and the beautiful old park create interesting settings for the art (60 km).
