Jels Søerne

The lakes Jels Søerne are composed of the lakes Nedersø (54 hectares), Midtsø (25 hectares) and Oversø (9 hectares). The stream Jels Å connects the 3 lakes, and both the lakes and the area are preserved. The lakes offer good breeding places for birds, and therefore you are not allowed to fish in the lake Oversø. The remaining 2 lakes can be used and it is possible to catch many different species of fish. A fishing licence can be obtained at the tourist office Midtsønderjyllands Turistbureau (Jels Møllegade 5, 6630 Rødding) and in the information centre/the restaurant by Jels Voldsted.
