Stenaldercentret Ertebølle

The center is situated in a very scenic area direct by Ertebølle Hoved, from where you can enjoy the view of the Liim Fiord, and close to the famous kitchen midden, dug out at the end of the last century. The story of the culture in Ertebølle is displayed through an interesting exhibition, containing e.g. a large collection of objects from both the iron age, the bronze age and the whole stone age period. Outdoor you can see, feel and try how our ancestors lived. You can study boats, houses and a copy of the kitchen midden. Various arrangements like archery and flint carving take place during the summer months. It is also possible to sail in a dugout canoe at the lake.
