'The Old Town', a world-class tourist attraction, contains 75 houses, homes, workshops and shops from all over Denmark as well as exhibitions with f.x. toys, watches and silver. 'Legetøjsmuseet' (the toy museum) is located in a large warehouse from the town Næstved. Here you can step into the wonderful world of toys. The museum contains toys from the beginning of the 19th century and up till the 1960'ies. Around 6,000 pieces of toys are displayed here. Meet the people and characters of yesteryear, experience life as it was in their living rooms and kitchens, and smell the flowers in the gardens. Try out old children's games, or stroke the horses and watch out for the geese. Taste, smell and sense the history. Have a draught beer in the beer cellar and enjoy a cup of coffee and a cake in the tea garden 'Traktørstedet'. 'The Old Town' is surrounded by gardens and parks, which invite pleasant walks all the year round.
