In Land of Legends (Sagnlandet Lejre) you can go exploring in the landscapes and experience old farm animals, houses, garden and active workshops from the Stone Age, the Iron Age and the Viking period. Meet with the wise Viking women, the Iron Age men as well as the craftsmen and hunters of the Stone Age. See the aurochs, wild boars, sheep, goats and geese. Greet the research workers and skilled craftsmen, who find new answers to our questions about the past by means of relic of the past.
The children can get an insight into former times by sailing in dugout canoes, mill corn and chop wood. If the hunger sets in after the experiences and the expansions, you can buy sandwich and meat, which can be prepared on the grills of the centre. The grills can be used free of charge. You can enjoy your lunch by the tables and benches or on a blanket in the green surroundings. Naturally, you can bring your own lunch baskets as well.
