Vikingecenter Fyrkat

The ring-shaped castle is 120 metres in diameter and formerly it contained 16 houses. Today, only the rampart is left, but outside the castle, a house from the ring-shaped castle has been reconstructed.
Through different activities in this Viking farm you can get an insight into the normal day of the Viking age farmer. Visit the long house, in which the peasant family lived, see the forge, the living quarters of the blacksmith and the workshop houses.
You have the opportunity of trying various activities for yourselves and for experiencing how life was lived in the Viking age. Among other things you can bake flat bread over the fire and forge.
