Bunkermuseet Hirtshals 10. Batteri

The bunker museum 'Bunkermuseet 10. Batteri' in Hirtshals is Denmark's only excavated and complete German defence installation from World War 2, which is open to the public. Here you are informed of the story behind the German Atlantic ramparts, and the installations provide you with a realistic impression of life in and around the bunkers during the occupation. The installations are situated in a lovely nature area of 450 x 750 metres by the lighthouse 'Hirtshals Fyr' and have a status as an open-air museum. The area consists of 3.5 kilometres of trenches, which connect 69 localities like f.x. personnel bukers, emplacements, ammunition bunkers and an officer bunker, which is used for the display of varying exhibitions. A very interesting excursion spot for everyone, who is interested in World War 2.
