The holiday resort Løkken offers lovely beaches, beautiful nature, art, culture and a vivid townlife.
 Løkken is a popular holiday destination - and not without reason! Here you will find everything that the family can wish for in a North Sea vacation.
In the old quarter of Løkken you will find the charming old fishing houses. The town also has a number of good restaurants, often with outdoor service and a view of either the pulsating heart of the town or the sea. Try the Løkken special: Fried plaice! Løkken offers good shopping opportunities, and the shops are open 7 days a week, all year round. Furthermore you will find a museum, a drops factory as well as more galleries here. Løkken has a vivid cultural life with arrangements for people of all ages, f.x. concerts, markets, antiqued fairs, beach aerobic, sand competitions as well as guided town and dune walks.
At the beach of Løkken you can observe as the fishing vessels are drawn up on land after a day at sea, and perhaps buy fresh fish.
The activity centre Action House offers amusing and thrilling activities year round.
Beach
Løkken offers one of Northern Europe's best bathing beaches. The broad, white and sandy beach is characterized by the white beach huts, which are placed along the high, sheltering dunes with lyme grass on both sides. The beach is 10 km long and completely stone free.
Here you will find more bunkers from World War II, which can provide shelter on a windy day. Motoring is allowed on the beach, but the beach also has traffic-free sections.
The westerly wind makes sure that the waves of the sea are suitable for both swimming and surfing. During the summer beach volley is arranged by the waters edge.
At all seasons the beach invites walks. The sunset over the sea can be enjoyed from the beach, the dunes or from the mole.
Nature
 The nature, surrounding Løkken, varies from the wide sandy beach and the wind-swept dune landscapes of the North Sea to the fertile meadows, the moors and the forest areas behind the seaside town.
Just south of Løkken, between Saltum and Grønhøj, you can experience a hilly landscape with forest, sea and a dune plantation. From the viewpoint Guldalderhøj in this area you can enjoy the sight of the whole bay Jammerbugten.
Along the shore, especially to the north of Løkken, you can experience the high cliff Lønstrup Klit as well as the severe impact of the sand drift on the landscape, f.x. by the hill island Rubjerg Knude, where the impressive sand dune in front of the lighthouse now exceeds the height of the lighthouse.
Activities
Løkken offers an abundance of leisure activities. Here you will find a tempting beach, a golf course, Put & Take fishponds, tennis courts, a bowling centre and a go-cart track. Year round anglers can fish from the mole of Løkken or from the beach in the nearby town Nr. Lyngby. You can walk, drive on bicycle or ride in the scenic surroundings. Riding horses are rentable in the area.
Golfers can visit Løkken Golfklub, which dispose of a beautiful 18-hole course as well as a 9-hole Pay & Play course, which is open year round.
Action House in Løkken offers bowling alleys, laser game, paintball, go-carts, pinball arcade, ballroom, electrical cars, internet café and a discotheque.
You can paraglide and hang-glide from the 15-km long cliff in Nr. Lyngby, which varies from 30 to 100 metres in height.
Worth a visit
 Løkken is the domicile of many artists, and you can visit more galleries and art shops in the town and the area. Experience the open drops factory and the candle factory as well.
The museum of coastal fishing Kystfiskerimuseet in Løkken exhibits a coasting vessel, a fishing vessel as well as gear and a collection about the life-saving service.
In Family Farm Fun Park in Vittrup you can stroke and feed the animals of the petting zoo, ride on ponies, drive on small tractors, try out water cycles on a lake and picnic in scenic surroundings (5 km).
Behind Løkken you can visit Børglum Kloster - a beautiful, old monastery from the 1180¿ies with atmosphere, exhibitions, a church and parklike surroundings (8 km).
A sand drift museum has been established near the lighthouse Rubjerg Knude Fyr from 1900, and from the lighthouse, which is going to up in a few years, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and the landscape (11 km).
Excursion spots
In the amusement park Fårup Sommerland & Aquapark you can try out more than 50 entertainments for the whole family, including Denmark's largest aquapark and Denmark's longest switchback Falken (13 km).
The garden of Hune 'Haven i Hune' is a 6,500 square metres beautiful, colourful and inspiring harden with f.x. sale of plants and paintings as well as a café (20 km). The aquarium Nordsømuseet in Hirtshals contains Europe's largest saltwater aquarium: Ocenariet, which holds 4.5 million litres of water. Here you can experience about 60 different fish species from the North Sea and even touch some of them (32 km). In Hirtshals you can also visit the bunker museum Bunkermuseet Hirtshals 10. Batteri - a complete bunker installation from World War II with a museum.
