Bulbjerg is very scenically situated and offers Denmark's only bird cliff.
 Bulbjerg is named after the large, 47-metres high limestone cliff, which faces Skagerrak. The cliff is a great natural attraction, which rises above the level coast scenery. Uttermost on the cliff you will find a bunker from World War II with a small exhibition, illustrating the German installation as well as the nature and culture of the area. The holiday homes of the area are situated in calm and tranquil nature. Bulbjerg is an ideal holiday destination if you are in search of peace, relaxation and comfort in natural surroundings. It is possible to buy groceries in the area, and in Fjerritslev (18 km) you will find shopping opportunities and restaurants.
Beach
A sandy beach is available on both sides of the cliff, but omit to swim close to the cliff, as the current is strong and the water is deep here.
On the nearby beaches Ellidsbøl Strand and Madsbølrende the conditions are more calm and child-friendly.
Motoring is not allowed on this beach.
Nature
 Bulbjerg is Denmark's only bird cliff, and the sea bird, the kittiwake, breeds on the steep sides of the cliff. From the cliff you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea and the surrounding landscape.
To the west of Bulbjerg large moors with dunes, lakes and meadows characterize the landscape.
Both east and west of Bulbjerg you can experience large plantations with a rich animal life. Among others red deer and roe deer inhabit these areas.
Right behind Bulbjerg the inlet Lund Fjord is located. The inlet is a part of the nature reserve Vejlerne, and here you can experience forests of reeds, salt meadows and a rich bird life.
Hanstholm Naturreservat is Denmark's largest nature reserve, and even though there is no access to the reserve, you can walk in the surrounding plantations and enjoy the view of the area from a hill or a gazebo (30 km).
Activities
You will find good, marked walking paths in the heath and in the plantation behind the cliff.
Anglers can throw in their lines directly from the shore, fish in one of the Put & Take fishponds of the area or go deep-sea fishing onboard a fishing vessel, which sails out from Hanstholm to the reef Det Gule Rev (2 hours sail from Hanstholm).
Golfers can test the courses of Jammerbugtens Golfklub near Fjerritslev, where the 18-hole course has been naturally landscaped (18 km), or Nordvestjysk Golfklub near Klitmøller, which offers one of the most challenging and beautiful courses of the country (47 km).
If the bathing weather lets you down, you can visit the tropical aquapark Vigsø Tropisk Badeland with swimming pool, water slide, jacuzzi, heated children's pool, sauna, solarium and fitness room (31 km).
Worth a visit

Experience the small fishing hamlet Lild, 6 km towards east, where the fishermen still drag up their boats on land after each sail.
The brewery museum 'Fjerritslev Bryggeri- og Egnsmuseum' is Northern Europe's best-preserved rural brewery. The brewery appears like in the old days with 100-years old coppers, fermenting tubs and beer barrels. The brewer farm Bryggergården, which has been converted to a museum, also contains a malt house and a bottling hall (18 km). In Fjerritslev you can also visit Han Herred Naturcenter and learn more about the nature and animal life of the area.
Excursion spots
The fortification Aggersborg near Aggersund contains traces of 48 long houses. By the stronghold you can see an exhibition about the construction of the castle (29 km).
Visit Museumscenter Hanstholm - Northern Europe's largest fortress with a bunker. On the museum area you can experience exhibitions, canons, uniforms, weapons etc. (37 km).
Come close to the sea and its fascinating inhabitants. The aquarium Nordsøakvariet in Vorupør exhibits f.x. fish and marine animals, caught by the fishermen of Vorupør (54 km).
In the amusement park Fårup Sommerland & Aquapark you can try out more than 50 entertainments, including Denmark's largest aquapark and Denmark's longest switchback Falken (65 km).
Jesperhus Blomsterpark is Scandinavia's largest flower park with colourful flower arrangements, a jungle zoo with beautiful tropical birds as well as pirates, play land and an aquapark with a number of activities (68 km).
