Vandværksskoven Bangsbo

The 100 years old forest Vandværksskoven has its name from the waterworks, which supplied Frederikshavn with water from 1884 to 1992. The forest offers a number of excursions spots, and the route from the tower Cloostårnet through the forest to Bangsbo Museum is especially recommendable ¿ on food, on bicycle or by car. A part of the forest has been converted into the botanical gardens Bangsbo Botaniske Have with 100 different kinds of trees, which originally don¿t grow on the northern hemisphere.
