Stevns Klint

Stevns KlintStevns Klint is a 12 km long and 41 m high cliff, which has emerged because the sea has gradually eroded the layers of greyish lime, white chalk and flint stone. In consequence of a sandslide in the year 1928 the choir of the church Højerup Kirke collapsed and was swallowed up by the sea. It is still possible to find traces after this incident on the beach. The remaining part of the church has been secured against further destruction.
