Grenen
|
|
Grenen, the northernmost point in Denmark, is the tip of the spit Skagens Odde, just north of Skagen. Grenen is formed by sand, which is lead all the way along the Jutland west coast towards north by the sea. On average the spit Skagens Odde grows app. 10 metres a year towards northeast. Here the two seas meet: The Skagerrak and the Kattegat. See the waves, which come from different directions and cause a strong current. For safety reasons swimming is not allowed here, but try to stand with one leg in the Skagerrak and one in the Kattegat.
