Pikkerbakken Bangsbo
|
Pikkerbakken is part of a 3 km long inland incline that was created during the Ice Age. Pikkerbakken itself rises 71 m above sea level, and from here there is a fantastic view of the town of Frederikshavn and the islands of Hirsholmene in Kattegat. In clear weather you can even see Læsø and Skagen. It is possible to drive on a twisting forest road up to Pikkerbakken, but you can also park at the restaurant ‘Møllehuset’ (the miller’s house) and take a magnificent walk through the woods up to the lookout. From Pikkerbakken you can continue up Dronningestien, which runs through hilly country.
