Naturpark Maribosøerne

Naturpark Maribosøerne is a unique nature area of app. 50 km2. The area consists of the lakes Søndersø, Røgbølle Sø, Hejrede Sø and Nørresø as well as the surrounding forest, meadows and moors. The nature park has a remarkable vegetation, wildlife and birdlife. Here you can experience splendid white-tailed eagles, the shy kingfisher, large numbers of butterflies as well as beautiful orchids among other things. Furthermore, the area is rich in ancient monuments.
