Corselitze

The forest Corselitzeskoven, which is named after the manor house Corselitze from the year 1766, stretches southwards over 16 km along the eastern shore of Falster. Ermines, weasels, martens as well as roedeer and fallow deer inhabit this large and unbroken forest area. The part of the forest, which is characterized by meadows and marshes, is especially interesting for botanists as no less than five different kinds of orchids flourish here. With a little luck you can unearth the rare bird's nest orchid, and in the spring the wood anemones as well as the yellow wood anemones and the hepaticas bloom. Follow the marked path in the area in order to experience this sight!
