Højsandet

Højsandet is a 15 metres high and 1.4 km long inland dune, which was created between the 15th and the 17th century as a consequence of the sand drift. In order to protect Nørrevang the farmers build new fences, and thereby the 2 km long path Højlandssti from the harbour of Rørvig to Dybesø arose. Follow the path on top of Højsandet or make use of the paths, which are located on the left or right side of the dune.
