Ho Klitplantage

The dune plantation Ho Klitplantage is the uttermost plantation of the area. It was established in the period from 1920 to 1940. The dune area is mainly characterized by mountain pine and Austrian pine. Other types of wood like f.x. Scotch pine as well as the North American contorta and sitka spruce can be found here. Once Sønderside - one of the most important fishing hamlets on the Jutland west coast - was situated southernmost in the plantation. The fishing hamlet was destroyed during the large flood in 1634. Follow the marked walking paths in the plantation and enjoy the quite unique nature!
