Bangsbo Botaniske Have

Since the zenith of the manor house Bangsbo in the 15th century, the ground around Bangsbo has been cultivated as a garden. Vegetable gardens, gardens with medicinal plants, fruit trees and ornamental plants have been grown here. The gardens of Bangsbo have always reflected the current interest in gardens. During the 19th century the gardens of Bangsbo formed an idyllic and peaceful spot, which attracted the contemporary poets. Throughout the years the gardens were changed by different owners of the manor house and harmonized the style of the time. Today, you can f.ex. visit the interesting herb garden, the park, which has been laid out in English style, the romantic rose garden and the stone garden Boolsens Stenhave, where you are able to see more than 1,000 different stones, collected by the writer Johannes Boolsen (1895-1985).
