At the exhibition in Nymindegab Museum you can experience how families at the west coast of Jutland lived, worked and went hunting100 years ago. At the museum there is also an exhibition of artefacts from the prehistoric Denmark; for example 'Lønnepigen', a girl who lived 2000 years ago and who was found in 1969 during excavations performed by 'Nationalmuseet' (the National Museum of Denmark). In the vicinity of the museum you will find among i.a. 'Tømrerens Hus' (the house of a carpenter) and a sawmill. See how a carpenter family lived and worked between World War 1 and 2. Visit ‘Hvalhuset’ (the whale house) and see the skeleton of a 12 meter long stranded sperm whale.
