This museum consists of Klosterlund Museum in the forest Stenholt Skov as well as museum section on the farm Klosterlund. At this museum you learn about the stone age, and furthermore be informed about the nature of the area, the story of the peat-digging as well as the extraction of iron on the spot. The museum arranges conducted tours in the two scenic areas Stenholt Skov (forest) and Bølling Sø (lake). The ancient exhibition is located in Stenholt Skov (Klosterlundvej 27). This exhibition illustrates the 'Klosterlund culture' from around 7500-7000 b. C., the excavation of the 'Klosterlund settlement', the prehistoric finds, the landscape and the game. On different occasions you can experience an active museum on the farm Klosterlund (Kragelundvej 6A). Se how the people of the past forged, turned wood, coloured with plants, chopped wood, burned charcoal and peat coal, spinned and weaved. Every year in July a large culture-historical market is arranged here.
