Vildmosemuseet

The bog area Store Vildmose is a unique nature area, in which remains from the old raised bog are still being found. Learn more about this bog at the museum Vildmosemuseet, which is located on Paukjærgaard - an old, four-winged farm. In the barn the history, geology and botany of Store Vildmoseen is illustrated. Here you will also find a collection of tools and machines for peat production as well as an interesting agricultural exhibition, which contains articles, which originate from the beginning of the 18th century. The farmhouse contains a kitchen with a kitchen range for wood as well as domestic utensils, used by the housewife of the farm from around the year 1900. Here you can also see textiles, needlework, office machines, radios, hairdresser and midwife equipment. The stables contain small workshops, in which the old crafts are being demonstrated. Among others you can observe as the coachbuilders, turners, carpenters, blacksmiths and tailors carry out their work.
